About Us

Briefing cyclists on a guided bike tour. Anglesey.

What we do…

We are the only company providing leisure day-bike rides on Anglesey.

We are the only company providing leisure day-long guided bike rides on Anglesey.

On your Guided Bike Tour

On your guided bike tour, we will meet you at a pre-arranged location. This is where you also collect your bike, if you’re hiring one through us.

We take you through a brief bike check- ensuring that your bike hire, if you’ve hired one, is adjusted to your height and that you’re confident riding it on a road. The last thing we do before setting off is to provide a briefing about how we ride in a small group and about the route ahead!

We cycle together in a small group, keeping in communication, and have planned stops along the way to enjoy the view, catch our breath, and share stories about the landscape that we’re cycling though. If you spot something interesting as we cycle or need to stop for a drink, we’re easy, and are happy to stop for any other reason the group needs.

Each route has a number of interesting places along the way. These provide more opportunity to move about and use different muscle groups. We will also stop for lunch, and will have told you if you need to bring a picnic or packed lunch, otherwise, we’ll be visiting a local café for lunch.

Slow Tourism

We consider ourselves part of the ‘slow tourism’ movement, and believe that there is great enjoyment to be had in an immersive experience of traveling at our own pace through the countryside.

We also want to share some of our love of Anglesey and Wales’ history and culture with you, to enrich your experience.

Who we are…

Green Lane Bike Tours is the embodiment of a daydream by Eli Elis-Williams, who conceived the idea and decided to make it real! We are assisted by a number of experienced freelance cyclists.

Eli learnt to ride a bike as an adult and has cycled practically all the back roads of Anglesey over recent years. She also volunteers as a British Cycling Breeze Champion, and is insured through British Cycling.
