Although we cycle to a church surrounded by the sea, this guided bike tour offers so much more than its destination. Once part of the mainland, St Cwyfan’s Church is still occasionally used for weddings, and makes for a dramatic seascape and is a loved destination of landscape photographers.
We cross one of Wales’ largest lowland wetlands, a vital resource for rare mammals, plants and birds, follow the old track across the dunes and cycle through Aberffraw, once site of the Court of Welsh Princes. We explore the coast and Church before heading inland for a different return journey, via a wonderful café providing home-made food, popular with cyclists!
22 miles including a short portion of pushing our bikes along a footpath and a walk along the beach.
