Our trips are designed to be enjoyed by anyone who is reasonably fit and are sold subject to the following conditions.
Booking for Day Trips
Participants must be over 15.
Bookings are accepted on the understanding that all persons booked are normally in good health and able to fulfil the physical demands of the chosen bike trip.
In taking one of our trips, you accept that on-road cycling presents an element of risk.
Participants must follow the instruction provided by Ride Leaders throughout the duration of the ride. If riders do not follow this instruction, the Ride Leader has the right to ask riders to leave the ride at any stage during the event.
We expect all participants to have consideration for other people. Please do not take risks. In the interests of safety, you must follow the Highway & Country Codes, and act sensibly and prudently at all times.
If in our reasonable opinion, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, we are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the trip of the person(s) concerned and will not be obliged to make a refund in those circumstances.
Cancellation by you
If you wish to cancel your trip you must give 5 days warning for full refund, over 48 hours warning for 50% refund.
If you are unable to come on the date you have booked, we will try to accommodate you on the next available vacancy on a trip.
Cancellation by us
Occasionally we have to make changes to the route advertised and it may also be necessary to alter itineraries.
We may cancel a particular trip if we think that the weather conditions would place your safety at risk, or in any unlikely and unexpected event which would be beyond our reasonable control, such as war, civil or political unrest, terrorism, or nuclear accident.
In the event that we have to cancel, we will, if total anarchy has not ensued, rearrange or offer an alternative planned trip. If this is not acceptable to you, we will refund all payments made to us.
The equipment, including all accessories supplied, is let out on hire. The equipment remains the property the bike hire company.
You undertake not to misuse the equipment and to return it with all accessories in the same condition as it was when received by you (ordinary wear and tear excepted). We shall be entitled to charge you for any damage caused to the equipment during the period of hire caused by your act or omission. In the event of a breakdown beyond normal punctures or other than a result of your misuse, the bike hire company will use reasonable endeavours to make roadside repairs or provide a replacement bike.
You must ensure that the equipment is adequately secured when not in use and not use the equipment whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms seeks to limit or exclude our liability if something we do or fail to do causes death or personal injury through our negligence or if we cause damage to your property and that cause is our fault.
Other than this liability which we have accepted, we will not be liable for any losses that you suffer as a result of any breach of our agreement except those losses which are reasonably foreseeable to both of us at the time we enter into the contract with you.
We are not liable due to the theft of bicycles or injury as a result of cycling either on or off road and in particular injuries as a result of either inadequately maintained and serviced personal equipment or failure to wear the correct safety equipment most notably cycle helmets, unless demonstrably due to our negligence.
In addition, since the services are provided to you as a consumer, we cannot accept responsibility for any losses related to any business of yours such as lost data, lost profits, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill or other business loss that you may incur as a result of any breach of our agreement.
If you have any problems with our services please report it immediately to your ride leader or afterwards, by e mail or letter to the company within 14 days of the event, so that the matter can be resolved.
We may take photographs or videos of the ride and riders for publicity purposes, but will endeavour to ensure that they are general views of riders. Please let us know if you do not want to appear in any photography.
Photographs and video may be taken by a rider for their own personal record of a ride. All other riders should be made aware of this. Those wishing to take photos are requested to be open and honest about this.
Your safety and comfort
We will provide cycle helmets with hired bikes, and ask that you wear your helmet while cycling with us. Please dress for the activity and weather conditions.
Riders must not wear earphones while taking part in a ride.
